The Frog and Pagatoon in the Kings Cup

This year there will be racing 9 Fireflies in Thailands most prestigious regatta, the Kings Cup
29 November – 6 December. Based at the Kata Beach Resort in Kata on Phuket.

The Frog is chartered for the 3rd time by a great team from Cowes, England with John Newman.
For the first time since the Kings Cup was established in 1986 a South-Korean team will be racing.

The team has chartered our 700 Yachtclub Pagatoon a Firefly 850 Off Shore Catamaran. They are non-experienced race/sailors and will be the underdog to start with. We will see how they develop their skills and teamwork during the races to become a team the other Fireflies have to count with. Harold Shim, founder of the 700 Yacht club in Seoul, is the Korean team leader and Chris ‘Hiddink’ Jongerius will be their coach.
Read here the interview with Harold regarding their preparation for the KingsCup!

Chris ‘Hiddink’ Jongerius will coach on board of Pagatoon. Rolien will crew on Latitude 8’s Performance Catamaran Charro and take pictures of the regatta..
